NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday attended Bharatiya Janata Party's workshop at the GMC Balayogi Auditorium in the Parliament complex.
In a photo shared by BJP MP Ravi Kishan, the prime minister was seen sitting at the last row of the auditorium among other parliamentarians of the National Democratic Alliance.
"At the NDA MPs' workshop, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, seated in the last row, embodies the strength of the BJP; every worker is part of this organisation," Ravi Kishan wrote on X.
The two-day workshop includes several sessions, including on its history and evolution, and lessons for its parliamentarians on boosting efficiency.
The workshop was held ahead of the upcoming election of Vice-President of India on September 9.
The BJP-led NDA's candidate C P Radhakrishnan and the opposition's nominee B Sudarshan Reddy, a former Supreme Court judge, are locked in a straight contest, with numbers clearly favouring the Maharashtra governor.
The workshop also passed the recent approval of GST rejig by the GST council on September 3.
The Council's decision reduced the number of tax slabs and slashed rates across a wide range of essential goods and services.
As per the new structure, only two main slabs -- 5 per cent and 18 per cent -- will remain, while a higher 40 per cent rate will be applied to sin goods.
