In the major play for the new audiences, the platform enlisted the influencer to provide an alternate live commentary stream for the highly anticipated Kansas City Chiefs vs Los Angeles Chargers in São Paulo, Brazil. Here is all we know about the upcoming game and IShowSpeed’s role in it.

YouTube brings in streamer IShowSpeed for NFL upcoming game’s broadcast

Headlining the ambitious alternate coverage of YouTube is a popular streamer, IShowSpeed. With approximately 43.3 million subscribers, IShowSpeed surpasses the NFL’s official channel audiences. He will now bring his energetic and unique brand of play-by-play commentary in English via the Watch With feature of YouTube. The feature allows the creators to stream live reactions directly over the main event. It offers fans a totally different way of experiencing the game.

Other popular creators joining IShowSpeed on the broadcast
IShowSpeed, as per reports, will be joined by a fellow creator, Tom Grossi (861,000 subscribers). Grossi is a Green Bay Packers devotee, and he, too, will be rounding out the English coverage. Together with IShowSpeed, he will be using the Watch With feature and providing real-time live reactions to their massive audiences.

Bryan SKabeche and Roberto Morales (RobeGrill) will be continuing the commentary for the Spanish audiences. It seems to be another critical part of YouTube’s strategy, as it would ensure the content remains accessible for the huge Latin American audience, too. Moreover, it would offer authentic cultural commentary, which is expected to be well-received by the audience.

The strategy highlights YouTube’s shift in how sports are presented online. Leveraging the immense subscribers of the creators, YouTube is trying to directly target the digitally native and younger demographic. The aim with it is to blend live sporting event excitement with the unfiltered and relatable passion of the creators who are fan-centric. This will offer entirely new means to experience the game.

The landmark broadcast is not just an experiment but is an intent-filled statement. Making the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Los Angeles Chargers game available free worldwide, YouTube and the NFL are pursuing international growth. The kickoff has been scheduled on September 5, 2025, for 5 pm PT/ 8 pm ET.
