Tom Daley has revealed he urged Celebrity Traitors bosses to consider a dramatic format alteration following his elimination from the programme.
The Olympic diving star featured as a participant on the current BBC series but became one of its earliest casualties. He faced the chop after catching the eye of Traitors Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross and Cat Burns, who chose to 'murder' him believing he might prove challenging to deceive during the game.
Tom has now disclosed to The Guardian that he questioned whether bringing contestants back from the dead could be incorporated into the format.
"I think what they should have considered is a resurrection," he said. "Bringing someone back from the dead after, like, the first four murders."

When questioned whether he pitched his concept to the production team, he responded: "Yes. They said no."
During the programme, presenter Claudia Winkleman chooses the Traitors by circling the roundtable whilst contestants wear blindfolds, tapping selected individuals on the shoulder, reports Wales Online.
Tom confessed he had hoped to become a Traitor instead of a Faithful and felt "annoyed" when this failed to materialise.
"Around that first roundtable, you're either waiting to be touched or not wanting to be touched," he said.
"It's really intense. When I wasn't a Traitor, I was annoyed."

He went on: "You can think, 'Just play the game and have fun and see where we get.'
"But as an athlete, I like to be in control."
Tom, 31, recently revealed that his eldest son became emotional and cried when he was eliminated from the programme. The sportsman shares two sons with his husband Dustin Lance Black - Robbie, born in 2018, and Phoenix, born in 2023.
He said on The One Show: "I've been watching it with my husband and my oldest son. And what was really sad was when, like, I got, you know, murdered, he was like, he started crying 'Oh, my papa.'
And I was like, 'Robbie, I'm here, you're fine.' And then he was like, 'OK, because I wanted you to win.' And he's like, 'I hate the Traitors'."
Celebrity Traitors airs on BBC One.
