Just hearing the name of dry fruits makes one feel like finding a treasure trove of health. Consuming them in any way is considered beneficial. Eating their panjiri is also a unique pleasure. The specialty of this dish is that it's as delicious as it is healthy. You've probably tasted it at some point. If you haven't made it at home yet and want to try it, we're going to share an easy method. Following our step-by-step instructions will prove to be extremely helpful. Once you've made it, you can enjoy it for days. Store it in an airtight container and eat it whenever you want.
Ingredients
Semolina – 1/2 kg
Ghee – 200 grams
Edible gum – 3/4 cup
Coconut powder – 1 cup
Powdered sugar – 1/2 kg
Cashews – 1 cup
Almonds – 1.5 cups
Pistachios – 3/4 cup
Makhana – 3 cups
Raisins – 1/2 cup
Cucumber seeds – 1 cup
Cardamom powder – 1 teaspoon
Recipe
First, take a pan, add a little ghee, add the edible gum, and fry it. The gum will swell and almost double in size.
After this, transfer the gum to a bowl and set it aside. Now, add a little more ghee to the pan, add the makhana, and fry them.
Similarly, add the cashews, almonds, and pistachios to the ghee, fry them thoroughly, and then remove and set them aside.
- Now, put makhana, cashews, pistachios, almonds, and gum in a mixer and grind them coarsely. Then, add some ghee to a pan, add raisins and cucumber seeds, and fry them.
- After this, add semolina to the ghee and let it cook for some time. Cook the semolina until it turns golden brown.
- After this, add coconut powder and cardamom powder to it and mix well. Now take a large vessel and first put the cooked semolina in it.
- After this, add coarsely ground cashews, almonds, pistachios, and makhana. Mix everything well and make it uniform.
- After this, add raisins, cucumber seeds, and powdered sugar to this mixture and mix everything well. Dry Fruit Panjiri is ready.
